LEGACY '12, a Kingdom Family Gathering was the inaugural reunion of the spiritual family led by Jack Taylor.  Over 1100 people gathered at the Encourager Church in Houston, Texas to honor our Heavenly Father by honoring our earthly fathers.  

"If God had wanted something besides a family, He would have had us call Him something besides Father." (Andy Taylor)  The Father/Son Paradigm is the primary cosmic model for relationships.  The Trinity is the only self-contained community in the universe,  It is a family! LEGACY '12, a Kingdom Family Gathering was our first attempt at demonstrating a real Kingdom family gathering together.

LEGACY '12 was a KINGDOM gathering because people from a all backgrounds, cultures and traditions came together for the expressed purpose of connecting with one another around common spiritual fathers.

What made it a FAMILY gathering was the connection every participant had with a spiritual father who demonstrated a relationship with the heavenly Father through Jesus Christ, the Son, by the Holy Spirit.

It was purposefully called a GATHERING because it was desired to be more than just another conference or summit.  A premium was placed on connecting for relationships. Thus was born the KFG (Kingdom Family Gatherings) concept for bringing the entire spiritual family together.

Bill Johnson blessed those attending with powerful and penetrating messages for Kingdom Living.  Leif Hetland modeled being used by the Father to reveal His love to transform lives and nations.  Bob Phillips was the most gracious host as the Pastor of Encourager Church in Houston, Texas.  The team of members and staff of Encourager Church were indispensable in creating the optimum atmosphere for experiencing the Kingdom of God together.

Of course, it was Jack Taylor that called the family together with support from his wife, Friede and key spiritual sons who helped him cast the vision and host an annual reunion of a Kingdom Family.  The blessings continue to abide personally and corporately.  Energetic clamor to do it again next year has began the process of 

planning for another large gathering of a spiritual family like LEGACY '12.  Details for LEGACY '13 will be forthcoming.

How the spiritual family relates to the local church is defined by the members of the family.  Obviously, honor and respect are given to the spiritual father, but Jack Taylor claims no authority over his sons.  Mutual submission is the way of the Word and each member of a spiritual family remains subject to his leaders.  Many sons serve in leadership, and by recognizing and receiving a spiritual father, usher in greater blessings for their local body.  The Father/Son paradigm is the order of the Kingdom and the model for spiritual family in the Church.

LEGACY '12, a Kingdom Family Gathering, was the natural progression of the Sons Gatherings which we have been holding since October of 2010 at Firecreek Mountain near Asheville, North Carolina.  These Sons Gatherings have taken on an even more significant role as the more intimate environments for establishing and building Kingdom relationships.  Several Sons Gatherings are planned at Firecreek each year and you can learn more about them by going to the Sons Gatherings page at this website.

A vision was also cast at LEGACY '12 to include "female sons" (daughters, i.e.. women).
